We are an evangelical church focused on preaching the Bible, growing Christians, and sharing the good news of Jesus to the world. Through our church, you can hear the great news that the Bible declares – that Jesus died for us!

Whatever your nationality, age or background, we welcome you to join us for our church service or any of our other ministries. Our other English gathering is strathfield 9am. To learn more about Christianity, check out christianity.net.au.

A word from our pastor

Mark Boyley

Our pastor at cp11 is Rev Mark Boyley. Mark and his family came to serve with us at the start of 2008. Prior to this he was a missionary with OMF in Thailand. He trained at Moore Theological College in Sydney. Previously Mark learned and served at Multicultural Bible Ministry (MBM, Rooty Hill) and Northern Districts Chinese Christian Church Sydney (NDCCCS, North Epping). He writes:

I hope this website is a help to you. If you are seeking a friendly church perhaps cp11 is for you. Many of us are from Chinese backgrounds, but we also have a healthy mix of other cultures and would love to see more.

God knows you and loves you (find a Bible and read Psalm 139:1–10 or 1 John 4:9–10). We would love to help you get to know God. We would love to help you grow to know Him better. God desires to relate to you in a vital, personal way – beginning now and lasting forever. He has made such a relationship possible through the death and resurrection of His Son Jesus. We need to accept his offer of forgiveness and friendship – by turning from our own ways and entrusting ourselves to Jesus. There is nothing in life more important than this.

cp11 aims to be a church that helps people reconnect with God. We hope you can visit some time soon. If you have any questions feel free to contact me.

Highlights of what’s happening

cphigh recommences

cpHigh will recommence on Sunday, 7 March. We will meet at the entrance of Burwood Westfield at 12:30pm to buy lunch and then cross to Burwood Park. See Mel Crane for more information.

Engage conference

Advance notice that Engage 2010 conference bookings will take place soon. This popular conference sells out quickly so plan soon! We will form a group to attend on 27–29 August. Speakers will be Tim Blencowe and Steve Timmis. See Cerise for more info!

Time to get baptised?

We will be holding a baptism service here at cp11 on Sunday, 16 May. Would you like to be baptised or confirmed that day? Classes will start Sunday, 21 March. Baptism or confirmation is a way of reaffirming your commitment to follow Jesus. The physical act of baptism is a sign of what God has done for you in the gospel. It is something the Bible anticipates all believers will normally do. Please talk it over with Mark.

Imagine…

Imagine if you could have the great teaching of a Katoomba Conference for free…

Imagine if you didn’t have to travel…

Imagine if there were great activities for the kids (even a jumping castle) so you could enjoy some refreshment in the word…

Imagine getting together with both English congregations for food and fellowship…

Imagine no more!
