Welcome to cp11!

Thanks for visiting our website. We are a church that meets in Croydon Park at 11am. We are an English ministry of the West Sydney Chinese Christian Church. The other English service is held at Strathfield at 9am. We hope you might visit us some time soon!
Whatever your nationality, age, or background, we welcome you to join us on Sundays for our church service, or any of our other ministries. We are an evangelical church focused on preaching the Bible, growing Christians in ministry, and sharing the good news of Jesus to the world. Through our church, you can hear the great news that the Bible declares – that Jesus died for us!

Our pastor at cp11 is Mark Boyley. Mark and his family have come to serve with us in 2008. Prior to this he was a missionary with OMF in Thailand. He trained at Moore Theological College in Sydney. Previously Mark learned and served at Multicultural Bible Ministry (MBM, Rooty Hill) and Northern Districts Chinese Christian Church Sydney (NDCCCS, North Epping). He writes: I hope this website is a help to you. If you are seeking a friendly church perhaps cp11 is for you. Many of us are from Chinese backgrounds, but we also have a healthy mix of other cultures. God knows you and loves you (find a Bible and read Psalm 139:1–10 or 1 John 4:9–10). We would love to help you get to know God. We would love to help you grow to know Him better. God desires to relate to you in a vital, personal way – beginning now and lasting forever. He has made such a relationship possible through the death and resurrection of His Son Jesus. We need to accept his offer of forgiveness and friendship – by turning from our own ways and entrusting ourselves to Jesus. There is nothing in life more important than this. cp11 aims to be a church that helps people reconnect with God. We hope you can visit some time soon. If you have any questions feel free to contact me. |
Here is a sample of what we’re doing at church. For more information, see:
Our contemporary Sydney culture is wonderfully diverse, and a great place to live. We have so much freedom and opportunity to be whatever we want to be, and to believe whatever we like. The prevailing attitude of most is that we all need to respect each others' rights to hold their own beliefs, and all such beliefs are valid. This is the essence of pluralism.
But what about us as Christians? Do we believe that there is only one true God out there? How can we say this? How dare we say this? How can we justify this? And even if we could prove this God, what's he got to do with the average Australian?
Well Paul addresses exactly this sort of society when he spoke in the city of Athens, in Acts 17:16-34. It is a bold and clear declaration that The Truth is Out There - that there is only one true God, who is the God the Bible. And this God is very much closely involved in our daily lives!
Join us at cp11 this Sunday as Desmond Chu shares this great message from the Bible.

It’s official! The dates, topic, and speaker are confirmed! The topic will be Reignite your Passion! How often do we fall into the pattern of solid intellectual beliefs about God, and yet feel empty and listless, without a passion for God? How can we transform what we know about God into a passionate love for him?
We will examine this challenging topic, which cuts to the hearts of all of us as Christians. Be ready to have your life revolutionized by what the Bible declares about our great God!
We will also have discussion groups on practical topics, fun activities, and heaps of free time to simply lie around and get to know each other at cp11! And of course, a great feed!
So lock the dates in your calendars: Friday to Sunday, September 19–21. Our cp11 service will be relocated to the houseparty that Sunday – NOT at Croydon Park. The houseparty will finish after lunch on Sunday.

As we live in contemporary Australian society, God has brought us into contact with all manner of people in our life, whether it be our family, friends, work mates, fellow students, or simply the man at the corner shop. Regardless of who they are, how are we to relate to them in a way that distinguishes us as Christians? How do we share our faith with them? What is Christian about how we talk with them? In short, how do we meaningfully CONNECT with different people in the world in the name of the gospel?
