Our vision and beliefs

We are an evangelical church committed to proclaiming Jesus Christ as revealed in the Bible. His gospel – good news – is that he died, as the Son of God, for the sins of all people! Please join us at church to find out more about Christianity!

As a church, we seek to grow the people in our congregation into Christlikeness, bringing glory to God. At the same time, we seek to make Christ known throughout the world, which is the heart of God.

Our vision

The vision of West Sydney Chinese Christian Church is:

To be a people of God, growing in Christ, reaching out with the gospel until He returns.

What we believe

Our church believes that:

  1. God is three-in-one: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
  2. God is the ruler of the whole world.
  3. The Bible is God’s Word and true, and is our authority for life.
  4. All people are sinful and deserve God’s punishment.
  5. Jesus, God’s son, died in our place, taking on himself God’s punishment we deserve.
  6. Jesus rose from the dead, and gives us eternal life.
  7. God’s Holy Spirit works in us to turn us to God and place our faith in Jesus.
  8. The Holy Spirit lives and works in us.
  9. All Christians form the one universal church, which is the Body of Christ.
  10. We expect Jesus to return physically as Lord of the world, and he will judge the living and the dead.
