In Ephesians 4:11–13, the apostle Paul speaks the people in the church being gifted in various ways, but all with a common responsibility to equip God’s people for ministry that will build up the body of Christ.
“…to prepare God’s people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.”

WS Equip and the Ministry Training Initiative are two means of equipping God’s people at WSCCC.
People in our congregation are also involved in many external ministries that are useful for equipping them in ministry.
WS Equip is a series of seminars and training sessions, open to people from all churches. They are held on Saturday mornings at cp11 (Violet St). The programme is planned and supervised by a small team of people drawn from both English congregations.
The Ministry Equipping Initiative is a structured learning programme tailored for individuals who can set apart a significant period of time to gain training and experience in ministry. It is under the oversight of the pastors and deacons of the WSCCC English ministry. Bruce Dipple is the coordinator for 2007 and guides the learning programme of the participants.
