Our people

People at cp11

cp11 is about people – it is a community of Christians who are committed to bring glory to God in what we do, and also how we do it.

Just as a body has many parts, our people have many roles. As such, we are in fact a congregation of a hundred ministers! Each has their own gifts and talents to cater for the myriad needs and opportunities to serve each other in our church.

What we have listed are some of our people who serve in our congregations in different ways. Of course, we ought to list everyone! But these are those who oversee and coordinate the various ministries of the church, and who can give you more information about what they do, why they do it, and when they are on. Please don’t hesitate to contact any one of us for more information.

The structure of our ministry teams at cp11

The pastoral team is the spiritual leadership of the overall church and its seven congregations. It consists of the ministers, deaconess, and Sunday school administrator. They determine the overall spiritual direction of the church, but have their primary ministry responsibilities amongst their respective congregations.

The diaconate is the governing body of the church, facilitating the smooth running of the church and its ministries. The deacons also have a role of spiritual leadership within the congregations, and many oversee various ministries. The diaconate consists of 11 deacons serving for a two-year term.

The English Ministry Oversight Team (EMOT) consists of the ministers and deacons of the two English congregations, and oversees the general direction of English ministry as a whole. Whilst each of the congregations grows in its own way, they are in fellowship with each other as the one church in unity. EMOT seeks to encourage that fellowship between the two congregations.

The cp11 English Worship Committee (EWC) directly oversees the ministries of cp11, including the Sunday services, outreach, pastoral care, associated ministries, and any new ministries that evolve with the growth of the congregation. It consists of the cp11 minister, its deacons, and coordinators of each ministry.

Coordinators of each ministry determine their respective strategic direction, ministry goals, framework, programming, and pastoral aspects relevant to their areas. They are also the first contact points for information about each ministry. Our main ministry areas at cp11 are:

Leaders/servants within each ministry do the grassroots ministering to the members of the congregation. They are the truly hard workers who prepare Bible studies, Kids’ Ministry lessons, practise music, prepare outreach events, and so on.

Participants in each ministry are those who are a part of the ministry by attending the small group, learning from a seminar, or simply by turning up to the Sunday service! Their informal encouragement and desire to bring glory to God is the essential heart of the ministry!
