care groups

Our Care Groups are the life of our church and the key to our growth as individuals. It is at these Care Groups that people really grow in their knowledge, love and service of God and each other.

Care Groups are groups of about 10-15 people meeting in the homes of members of the church. They usually begin with refreshments and socialising (maybe even a meal), followed by the Care Group leader leading a discussion focusing on the study and application of the Bible. If you’re visiting a Care Group you can participate in the discussion as much or as little as you’re comfortable with. Groups usually end by taking some time to pray.

We know people are busy, so depending on your age, location and availability we have Care Groups that run weekly and monthly throughout different locations in Sydney. Some are well catered for the families with young children. Right now Strathfield 9am has the following Care Groups available:

So how do you find the right group?

 Try out a few options:

  1. If you've come to Strathfield 9am with a friend, and they're in a group already, ask if you can visit theirs. If their group is a completely different demographic or location than one that would be a good fit for you, see if they'll help you find a group that might be a better fit.
  2. You can contact Pastor Andrew Wong and he will determine which group would best suit you.
  3. Try out a few Care Groups and find one that fits you well. If you’re visiting for the first time, it may be best to contact the group leader to verify that the group will be meeting that week.
