WSCCC

The diaconate of West Sydney Chinese Christian Church are the overseers of the whole church, working closely with the pastoral team. Each has different gifts and responsibilities, but all have grassroots involvement within their home congregations.

We have recently elected a new team of deacons!

Deacons of the English congregation

John Seeto
Deacon - General Affairs

John is our new deacon at strathfield 9am. He loves God's word and using his handyman skills for God's service. He would love to see the older and younger generation bond in love for each other and mutual love for Jesus.

His married to Rosie, has 3 adult children and 2 grandchildren.

Anthony Choong
Deacon - Chairperson

Anthony has been attending WSCCC since the early 1990s, and was an original member of the 5pm evening service, the precursor of cp11. He has a passion for global mission and all gadgets.

Anthony works in IT for IBM. He is married to Ruth, and they have three children: Laura, Timothy and James.

Desmond Chu
Deacon - Vice-Chairperson

Des serves in the cp11 congregation and is involved with the strategic planning of the church, works closely with the minister in overseeing the Sunday services, and also does occasional preaching. His other passion is for global missions, having spent time in Nepal and Pakistan.

Des is married to Margaret, and they have two children: Daniel and Sarah.

Andrew "AK" Wong
Deacon

Andrew is often mistaken for the other Andrew Wong at cp11. He is involved in music and enjoys movies, computers, snow sports, drama and dance. He is a notoriously slow eater and obsesseive compulsively clean.

He is married to Alice and they have a baby boy named Matthew.

Ken Lim
Deacon

Ken enjoys gardening, BBQs and board games. He has served in many different areas including Sunday school, as church treasurer and part of Surry Hills Urban Mission. He enjoys watching movies, playing boardgames, rumbling with his children and finding new places to eat.

He is married to Cindy and have two daughters: Katie and Amy.
